Spring Youth Tennis in the Parks with USTA - (Grades 2-7) - Spring Youth Tennis in the Parks with USTA - Grades (5 - 7) The Orleans Recreation Department has partnered with the USTA New England to offer YOUTH Tennis in the Parks at the OES courts.This program is led by a USTA-approved tennis coach and is designed to teach players how to play tennis using modified balls, age-appropriate rackets, and court sizes. It offers engaging activities to make learning fun and successful. Lower Cape Recreational Softball (Grades 2-6) - Spring 2026 - Lower Cape Recreational Softball (Grades 4-5-6): Orleans 1 @ Orleans 2 Lower Cape Recreational Softball participants will play league games, have one team practice, and play against a team from a local recreational program. The purpose is to learn the game of softball and have an opportunity to compete and have fun with students of similar ages and skill levels. WHEN: The teams' coaches will determine all practice schedules, which will be followed by a weekly game (schedules are still to be determined by the LCRL). The Orleans Recreation Department will notify all registered participants promptly when they become available.Girls in Grades 2 & 3 - Games on Mondays at 5:00 or 5:30 pm.Girls in Grades 4-5-6 - Games on Tuesdays at 5:00 or 5:30 pm.WHERE: Practices and home games will be held at the Orleans Elementary School Softball Field. Away games will be held in nearby towns as part of our Lower Cape Recreational League.REGISTRATION FEE: $30R per person (A $15 sibling discount will apply at checkout for up to the 4th child registered in the same program from the same household account) We are actively seeking passionate volunteer coaches to join our team. Join our amazing staff for mornings filled with fun games, arts and crafts, sports, and more. Field trips and special events are scheduled throughout the summer. WHO: Grades K-5 (Entering the Fall of 2026). Please note that all kindergarteners must be five (5) on or before September 1, 2026.
