The Orleans Recreation Department has partnered with the USTA New England to offer YOUTH Tennis in the Parks at the OES courts.This program is led by a USTA-approved tennis coach and is designed to teach players how to play tennis using modified balls, age-appropriate rackets, and court sizes. It offers engaging activities to make learning fun and successful. Orleans Recreation is collaborating with AC Independence to provide two youth clinics for children in Pre-K (ages 1-4) and Grades K-2.    The Youth Instructional Soccer program provides a fun introduction to the sport. Participants will learn the fundamentals of soccer on Saturday mornings. Lower Cape Recreational Soccer participants will have one weeknight practice as a team and play games on Saturday mornings against a team from a local recreational program. The purpose is to learn the game of soccer and have an opportunity to compete and have fun with students of similar age and skill levels. Practices will tentatively begin the week of September 8, and games will start on September 20. Once coaches have determined practice days and times, they will notify families. WHAT TO BRING: Participants will need cleats, shin guards, and water for practice and games. Sandals, flip-flops, and Crocs are not allowed. WHO:  Children in Grades 3 & 4 and 5 & 6WHEN: One weeknight practice + games on Saturday mornings. The schedules will be released when they are finalized.WHERE:  Practices and home games will be held at OES Fields. Participants will learn the fundamentals of soccer on Saturday mornings. It offers engaging activities to make learning fun and successful.
