Drawing from Nature:

This class is for beginner and intermediate art students. We will explore various approaches and drawing techniques, including contour, modified contour, gesture, negative space, light and shadow, toned drawing, and basic composition.

Students will work from natural objects supplied by the teacher (shells, bones, stones, driftwood, feathers, plants, flowers, etc) or may bring their own collection to class.

Students should bring a 9x12 (or larger) sketchbook and 2B (or softer) drawing pencils or Bic mechanical pencils to the first class. Additional materials will be discussed.

When: Wednesdays

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dates: May 14, 21, 28, June 4

Registration Fee: $75 per person for 4 classes

Location: 44 Main Street - Community Building
