Orleans parents, we have great news for you ahead of the Orleans Special Town Meeting! The Orleans Recreation, Culture, and Community Events Department is pleased to offer childcare during the Orleans Special Town Meeting on November 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.Leave your child in our care so you can focus on your civic duties without distractions. Orleans Recreation is partnering with Coach Griffin Ryder to run an open gym basketball program on Wednesday nights at the NRMS gym. This program is perfect for students currently in grades 3-5.When: Wednesday NightsEntering Grades: 3-6Dates: November 18, 25; December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30Time: 6pm - 7pm* Scheduled time is subject to change if needed  Registration Fee: $20R/$25NR - per child($10 sibling discount will apply at checkout for up to the 4th child registered in the same program from the same household account)Max Capacity: 20Location: Nauset Regional Middle School Gym What to Bring: Participants must wear athletic attire and sneakers during open gym and bring a labeled water bottle. Sandals, flip-flops, and Crocs are not allowed.Please remember that each parent must Check In and Out their child/children with the site coordinator. Join Theresa Lane for a Community Fitness Class for AdultsThis is a total-body conditioning program that uses a combination of free weights, bands, and your own body weight. Each class begins with a warm-up, basic flexibility exercises, and a stretch. You'll continue building strength, muscle definition (toning), and endurance through light-to-moderate-weight exercises and repetitions. The class incorporates a variety of exercises targeting different muscle groups, emphasizes form, includes cardiovascular elements and core work, and ends with a good stretch!
